Heading ਸਲੋਕੁ ਮਃ ੩ ॥ Bani ਵਿਣੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਸਭਿ ਭਰਮਦੇ ਨਿਤ ਜਗਿ ਤੋਟਾ ਸੈਸਾਰਿ ॥ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਵਣੇ ਹਉਮੈ ਅੰਧੁ ਗੁਬਾਰੁ ॥ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਵਣਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਬਦੁ ਵੀਚਾਰਿ ॥੧॥ ਮਃ ੩ ॥ ਸਹਜੇ ਜਾਗੈ ਸਹਜੇ ਸੋਵੈ ॥ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਹੋਵੈ ॥ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਭਰਮੈ ਸਹਸਾ ਹੋਵੈ ॥ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਨੀਦ ਨ ਸੋਵੈ ॥ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਜਾਗਹਿ ਸਵਹਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤਿਆ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਉ ॥੨॥ ਪਉੜੀ ॥ ਸੇ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵਹਿ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਰਤਿਆ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਇਕੁ ਧਿਆਵਹਿ ਇਕੁ ਇਕੋ ਹਰਿ ਸਤਿਆ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਇਕੋ ਵਰਤੈ ਇਕੁ ਇਕੋ ਉਤਪਤਿਆ ॥ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵਹਿ ਤਿਨ ਡਰੁ ਸਟਿ ਘਤਿਆ ॥ ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਦੇਵੈ ਆਪਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿਆ ॥੯॥ ਅੰਗ-੬੪੬ Punjabi Meaning ਸਲੋਕ ਤੀਜੀ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹੀ। ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਅੰਦਰ ਭਟਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਜਹਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਉਠਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਆਪ-ਹੁਦਰੇ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਗੂੜ੍ਹੇ ਅਨ੍ਹੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਗੁਰੂ-ਅਨੁਸਾਰੀ, ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਆਰਾਧਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਪਾਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਤੀਜੀ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹੀ। ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਆਰਾਮ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਾਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਰਾਮ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੀ ਸੌਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਰੈਣ ਦਿਹੁੰ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸੰਦੇਹ ਅੰਦਰ ਖੱਚਤ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਮਨਮੱਤੀਆ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਫਿਕਰ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਨੀਂਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੌਂਦਾ। ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਬੇਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਾਗਦੇ ਤੇ ਸੌਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਨਾਨਕ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੋਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੀਜੇ ਹਨ। ਪਉੜੀ। ਕੇਵਲ ਓਂਹੀ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਇਕ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਚਿੰਤਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਕੇਵਲ ਇਕ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹੀ ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ। ਕੇਵਲ ਇਕੋ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਕੇਵਲ ਇਕ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸਮੂਹ ਭੈ ਨੂੰ ਪਰੇ ਚਲਾ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸਾਹਿਬ ਖੁਦ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। English Meaning Shalok, Third Mehl: Without the Name of the Lord, everyone wanders around the world, losing. The self-willed manmukhs do their deeds in the pitch black darkness of egotism. The Gurmukhs drink in the Ambrosial Nectar, O Nanak, contemplating the Word of the Shabad. ||1|| Third Mehl: He wakes in peace, and he sleeps in peace. The Gurmukh praises the Lord night and day. The self-willed manmukh remains deluded by his doubts. He is filled with anxiety, and he cannot even sleep. The spiritually wise wake and sleep in peace. Nanak is a sacrifice to those who are imbued with the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||2|| Pauree: They alone meditate on the Lord's Name, who are imbued with the Lord. They meditate on the One Lord; the One and Only Lord is True. The One Lord is pervading everywhere; the One Lord created the Universe. Those who meditate on the Lord's Name, cast out their fears. The Lord Himself blesses them with Guru's Instruction; the Gurmukh meditates on the Lord. ||9||
